Donegal Tweed Homespun is a classic Irish-made homespun tweed from Tahki Stacy Charles. This single-ply aran weight yarn features contrasting slubs of color for added depth.

The knitted or crocheted fabric is rustic and textured, making it perfect for traditional items like sweaters, mittens and afghans. It knits up at 4 to 4.5 stitches to the inch on size 7 to 9 needles. A 4 to 6 mm hook is recommended for crochet. The fabric softens considerably after a soak in wool wash and will felt if machine washed.
