Prairie Spun DK is a versatile 100% wool yarn from the Brown Sheep Company, a family-owned mill founded in Nebraska in 1980. Brown sheep sources its wool from sheep raised in the United States and has recycled 70-90 percent of its waste water daily for almost 10 years.

Prairie Spun is a tightly spun three-ply yarn that is perfect for a range of projects, including sweaters and accessories. A quick look at Ravelry shows that many knitters have chosen Prairie Spun for sweaters with stranded color work with excellent results.

This yarn knits up at 5.5 stitches to the inch on size 6 (4 mm) needles. For best results, hand wash and dry flat.
