The Fibre Company’s Road to China Silken Jewels is a luxurious blend of baby alpaca (65%), cashmere (10%), camel (10%), and silk (15%). Silken Jewels is a sport weight yarn that knits up at 6 to 6.5 stitches to the inch on size 3-4 needles.

This kettle-dyed yarn is strong, yet soft with a shiny drape, making it perfect for small luxuries like cowls, scarves, and fingerless mitts. Fallberry, the fingerless mitt pictured, is a free Knitty pattern.

The shop carries several gorgeous colors:

  • Agate (brown)
  • Cobalt (blue)
  • Emerald (green)
  • Rhodolite (bright magenta)
  • Riverstone (beige)
  • Ruby (dusty rose)
