In addition to yarn, the Sow’s Ear stocks a variety of spinning fiber. Sweet Georgia Yarns Panda is a 60% superwash merino, 30% bamboo rayon and 10% nylon blend, making it soft and silky, yet strong. It is ideally suited for spinning into sock yarn.

Panda is hand-dyed in professional acid dyes, resulting in good color-fastness. The color is rich and somewhat streaky. Once spun, the fiber should be hand-washed or washed gently in a machine and laid flat to dry.

The shop has four colorways in stock — glacier, lakeshore drive, orchid, and silver.

Sweet Georgia Yarns Panda is put up in 100 gram braids. $23
